What’s Going On?
Cross-Country-Skis.com came to us by way of Chris Brooks. We felt it was a great time to ramp up this site that was doing very little parked. Since a hyphenated domain works well in the search game we felt we would give it a go with our Rapid Mini Site process.
Speaking of hyphenated names – I will probably follow this up with a post, but they make excellent development domains!
So we got to work and analyzed the popular areas of cross country skiing and what people are generally looking for. We came up with a nice and simple layout that would perform well both with the click throughs and the search engines.
Chris decided he wanted to use Yahoo Publisher Network instead of Google AdSense, which is always fine with us. We will work with whomever you wish to advertise with. We finished up development and started into our marketing process.
And the Results Are…
We have been doing extremely well marketing to MSN – and it showed in this project! Here is what Chris had to say about us:

What’s Going On?
Keith Ferrier came to us looking for a better solution for his domain bahamasaccounting.com – he believed their was more to this name then what it was doing parked and felt that the aeiou.com Rapid Mini Site process would do the trick to break out of it’s current mold.
After reviewing the potential of this name – we agreed and began development.
BahamasAccounting.com is an excellent use of cross marketing geo domains. Just because you do not own Bahamas.com does not mean that you cannot come to the table and have a great product. When you put together an industry + a geographic location you can come up with a real winning combination.
Our goal with the development process was to create a site that offered general information on accounting in the Bahamas while making sure that we are capitalizing on the high EPC nature of the keyword “accounting”. This is very important for establishing a strong foundation for the site and helping with preliminary earnings.
The real strengths of our development are starting to show – we have increased the site traffic nicely and held a strong CTR that is monetizing very well. The great thing about this whole development is that now Keith has a real product with BahamasAccounting.com. Not only is he able to capitalize on the current ad placements, he can now start doing business directly with accounting firms in the Bahamas and start earning those ever so valuable outside advertising dollars.

What’s Going On?
We applied our Rapid Mini Site process to Nachos.com on 08/01/08 – the first of this month. After analyzing the possible search engine traffic out there we felt it was a “no brainer” and decided that instead of relying only on the type in traffic – we would use our development process to go after the available search engine traffic available for the keyword “nachos” as well as its 2nd tier keywords.
Our research led us to develop a site around various recipes for nachos. When developing and marketing to the search engines a good place to start is where the people are looking!
We ended up creating the following pages:
- Nachos
- Nacho Cheese Sauce
- Nacho Recipes
- Nacho Fajitas
- Nacho Chips
Each section is relevant to the main Nachos theme – but allows us to unlock even more traffic opportunities for this domain.
And the Results Are…
Nachos.com has been out there for a little under a month and we are already seeing some great numbers on it. Here is a current recap of what is going on.
- Ranked #12 in Google for the term “Nachos”
- Traffic has increased nicely as well as more consistency in page views and ad views
- Additional keywords are coming up in our search logs. These include “potato nachos”, “italian nachos”, “nachos recipes” and “cheesy nachos”
- Revenue is growing as well. We are maintaining a steady click thru rate of 18% on it and the earnings are starting to jump up as well.

We are very happy with the way nachos.com is shaping up. Only a month after our rapid mini site process has been live and we are already seeing benefits you would only see with a development.

Our Rapid Site Development process even works when you are developing hand registered names. We pickup up solimarbeach.com, fresh from a registrar and developed it out. We are now #4 on Google for “Solimar Beach” and #1 on MSN.
The idea of hand registering domain names is nothing new, however it was rare that you would find anything fresh that would do well parked. SolimarBeach.com is not beyond that, however now that the site is crawling up the search engines – this name has turned into an earner!
Townhomes.net

Townhomes.net is a domain that we have had parked for a while. We decided to apply our Rapid Site Development process on it and in under 30 days we have increased traffic and profits. We are currently on the front page of both Google and MSN for our target keyword “Townhomes”
The great thing about developing domains is that you are not forced into one monetization model. If a CPC advertising relationship is drying up, we will help you advertise with companies that make you money! You control who you advertise!
